After completing my university degree, I spent 5 amazing years working in inner London, in an area with high levels of poverty, many different cultures, and diverse backgrounds.
Moving back to Australia I taught in the western suburbs, a primary school for 4 years, prior to joining a new team setting up a Prep to Year 12 school that grew from 400 students to 2200 students in 4 years. I was a curriculum leading teacher, prior to becoming Assistant Principal, with 650 students in years 5 to 8. With a major focus around Inclusion this school was breaking down barriers relating to disability and inclusive education, an area I was and am ever so passionate about.
I became Principal at Ashby in late 2015 and have loved the challenge of strategic school improvement and building a culture around inclusion with the staff, students, and families of the Ashby community.

Nat, Assistant Principal
Secretary Council/ Chair of Achievement/ Curriculum and Policy Subcommittee)
When I finished my University Degree, I did a little bit of traveling with my now husband, before finding a teaching job at a local primary school. I worked there for three years as a classroom teacher, literacy intervention and sports coordinator, before moving to Ashby in 2008. During this time, I have had two children of my own, working part time for 6 years before returning to full time teaching. I have had many roles in my time at Ashby and am thrilled to now be the Assistant Principal. My favourite thing about Ashby is the community feel. Everyone is so welcoming and inclusive, it is an amazing community to be a part of.
