Information & Communication Technologies (ICT)

Digital technologies will be used extensively to enhance the learning experience of our school community and to develop students who are information literate, self-directed and committed to life-long learning.

Digital technologies will be used effectively to enhance learning and teaching in all curriculum areas, to support collaborative and co-operative learning, to develop higher order thinking skills and to help all students to realize their educational and social potential.

ICT will be a fundamental component of teaching and learning, where state of the art technology and professional learning will equip teachers with transformative skills and develop students that are innovative and confident users of ICT in an ever changing digital world.

The vision we have at Ashby Primary School is; of a school where digital technologies are embedded into every day teaching and learning,  where children will have free access to the multitude of digital technologies that are available,  where parents and teachers work together to enrich their child's education using digital technologies and that learning continues into the home and the wider community.
